Last year, I was a freshman starting my first year at Utah State University, fresh out of high school. I jumped headfirst into everything USU had to offer. I joined clubs, volunteered both on and off campus, and committed myself fully to my classes. Balancing everything came with challenges—tight schedules and time constraints—but I made it through. I learned a lot about time management and plan to be more organized this year by applying what I’ve learned from my experiences and the support of academic advisors at the university.

This year, I’m continuing my involvement in clubs and volunteer work, but I’m planning my schedule more carefully before committing. I plan to continue learning about business and food science as well. I am in data and finance classes this year as part of my degree program. I am looking forward to this year so much. This scholarship is the reason I’m able to be here on campus, starting my sophomore year. Thank you for giving me this opportunity—without it, I wouldn’t be back on campus today.
