Kids’ Chance of California
Scholarship Recipient

Throughout my soon-to-be four years of college, I have faced many lessons, both uplifting and incredibly hard. One of the biggest challenges was having to go through the college experience whilst going through my grieving journey since losing my dad. Beyond the emotional weight of that loss, it also created some financial hardships. Despite that, I remained committed to pursuing my education and my goals of becoming an occupational therapist. Scholarships like Kids’ Chance have played a major role in making that possible. Without support like theirs, continuing my education would have been significantly harder and less attainable.

This scholarship has allowed me to stay focused in school, grow through meaningful experiences, and stay on track to graduate. It is so much more than just financial help, but also a reminder that I am not going through this journey alone, and that when I feel down, there is someone out there who believes in me. I am forever grateful not only for the assistance but for the opportunity to represent and share how Kids’ Chance makes a real impact on students like myself.
