My dad’s injury was not a brush under the rug for my family and me. With the injury putting him out of work, we found ourselves in pits of stress. However, KCOCA has blessed us with a weight lifted off our shoulders. As I enter my last year at the University of San Diego, I cannot explain how much KCOCA has helped not only me, but also my family. I will be graduating this year with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, accompanied with a minor in chemistry. Soon after, I plan to apply to Veterinary school in hopes of working with marine animals one day.
