Kids’ Chance of California
Scholarship Recipient

My father was a devoted Marin County firefighter who dedicated his life to protecting others. In April 2024, he passed away from esophageal cancer, a loss that has deeply shaped our family and my life. One of his hopes was that I would finish my college education and continue to pursue my goals with purpose and resilience.

Losing him during this time in our lives was a profound challenge, both emotionally and financially. Yet, his example of service, perseverance, and integrity continues to guide our family. The Kids’ Chance California scholarship not only eases the financial burden of continuing my education but also stands as a reminder that my Dad’s legacy lives on through my path.

With this support, I can focus on completing my degree, building the skills to succeed in my chosen field, and honoring my father’s wish for me to graduate. This scholarship gives me more than funding—it gives me the opportunity to carry forward the values he instilled in me and to make a meaningful impact in my community.
