Trent
Trent’s father has double amputations as the result of industrial injuries. As one of six children in his family, it would have been very difficult to pay for school without the Kids’ Chance of California scholarship. Trent grew up in Enumclaw – a town consisting of 12,000 people which includes many farmers, and back woods residents. Living in this community has driven his dream to choose a career working with farmers and country communities. Trent attends the University of Idaho and is studying Agricultural Engineering. |

Emily
Emily’s father, a police officer, was killed in a car accident in 2009. Since then, her family has been struggling, not only emotionally but economically since her father was the breadwinner of the family. Having attended Catholic school since kindergarten, Emily wanted to continue that tradition in college. She attends Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Based on the classes she’s taken so far, she’s interested in pursuing an English or History major. |

Harrison
Harrison’s father was a pilot who was killed in 2013 in a work-related crash. He and his father were working on his college admission process at the time of the accident. In high school, Harrison was a scholar athlete, excelling in AP courses and earning varsity letters in football, wrestling and track. He volunteered extensively in his church, the community and with the Special Olympics. He attends Azusa Pacific University and plans to study Business Economics/Management. |

Randolph
Randolph’s father is a lineman who was involved in a serious work-related accident when a vault exploded in 2013. In high school, he volunteered at Stepping Stones leadership program at Saint Bernadine’s Hospital. The first-hand experience in the medical field solidified his goal to go into a health-related field. He served in various student body leadership roles and was also involved in varsity sports as captain of his soccer team and played football. He attends at University of California, Riverside and is exploring Kinesiology as a major. |

Cameron
Cameron lost both of his parents in work-related incidents. He attends Arizona State University , and plans to major in African American Studies. He made the football team as a walk on. He plans to follow his parents’ footsteps and go into Law Enforcement. Listen to Cameron’s story here. |
